dillard alarm company is the fredericksburg area’s oldest locally owned and operated alarm company. they’ve installed and serviced residential and commercial security systems and alarms since 1976, and with the emergency of smart home technology, they remain committed to staying at the forefront of their industry. professionally-monitored and installed systems set them apart. with the support of resideo (residential) and honeywell, we had access to a number of high-quality photos of different home and business security products. despite this, we still had quite a bit of heavy lifting to do when it came to creating on-the-job content from homes and businesses area residents would recognize.
an established local security company needed a digital facelift, including fresh content for their new residential security packages.

work on this project began with a lot of industry research. hyperbole looked at all of the advantages and disadvantages of professionally-monitored systems, the emergence of the do-it-yourself market, and the overall direction of smart home technology. few industries have changed as much as this one in the past ten years. with a new line of home security packages that aimed at “standardizing” their workflow, we had our work cut out for us.
“are you protected?” was the company’s existing slogan, which we continued to use while also expanding with “#since1976” and “comfort + convenience + capability” to emphasize their experience and evolving offerings.
a sleak, mobile-friendly custom website really sets dillard alarm company. the project compliments their resideo and honeywell suppliers while remaining consistent with the dillard alarm visual identity that’s been a constance for nearly fifty years.
on-sites, on-sites, on-sites. from homes to churches to retail to restaurants and everything in between, hyperbole was on the job and over the shoulder showing what dillard alarm company does and who they do it for.
we fired up things on facebook and created accounts on instagram, twitter and linkedin. the latter was where we found a tremendous amount of support and engagement with resideo and honeywell through tagged posts and targeted content.
in addition to the website, hyperbole designed business cards, trifold brochures for both the residential and commercial markets, print advertisements, digital advertisements and more.
the dillard alarm company website may be one of our tightest projects to date. it’s clean, clutter-free, and looks great on any device. it’s got comprehensive details for each residential security packages, including pricing, included products, demonstration videos and more.
dillard alarm does a lot of security. we worked overtime to keep up and their content fresh with all of their ongoing projects. much of our work was done on-site with commercial customers, including churches, golf courses, apartment complexes, movie theaters and more.
one of our first videos for dillard alarm company was a halloween promotion featuring their skybell smart video doorbell product. it involved a costume, eggs and a front door.
it’s not marketing…it’s a movement.
