There’s never been a better time to pick up America’s fastest-growing sport than this Saturday at The Picklr Fredericksburg.
The region’s largest indoor pickleball facility is celebrating its one year anniversary with an afternoon of open play, games, prizes and deals on memberships with all-you-can-play privileges.
For Club Coordinator MK Baker, it’s a day that’s as much about the players as it is about The Picklr.
“The never-ending support that our membership base has given us over the last year is indescribable, and it’s the reason we all love what we do,” Baker reflects.
“They really have become family & anyone who has been to The Picklr Fredericksburg in the last year, contributed to a successful Year 1.”
A membership to The Picklr Fredericksburg offers unlimited play across the club’s 10 fenced indoor pickleball courts, as well as invitations to a number of themed and social events. The club offers Individual, Family as well as Junior level memberships, while those pondering becoming pickleballers can unlock a 15-day trial for $30.
Whether new to the sport or not, there’s lots of opportunity to for players to improve their pickleball play, as well.
Several courts are equipped with a Wingfield machine, an AI-powered training assistant that analyzes and assesses a player’s performance and helps them improve through interactive drills. The club also offers access to Erne, a portable pickleball machine that can assist players in drills and can be controlled and adjusted on their smartphone.
For players looking for hands on instruction, The Picklr Fredericksburg provides instruction from your choice of nearly a dozen instructors at all levels of skill and experience.
While players may sign up for the pickleball, many stick around for the socializing.
“The warm-welcome our members share to our staff, new members, or guests is what makes them so special,” Baker says.
And “special” is how Baker wants new members to feel on Saturday, which she says will offer the best deals available on a membership to The Picklr.
The club’s Anniversary Annual individual membership special offer ($999 for 12 months of Unlimited access) offers players substantial savings compared to the club’s typical membership pricing. An Anniversary Monthly individual membership offer ($119/month) will also be available and feature one month of access to the Pro-Add (Wingfield and Erne machines) and 20% off any item from the pro shop.
Anniversary Family membership specials are also available, with interested parties encouraged to inquire within.
Saturday’s anniversary celebration will cap off a busy time of year at The Picklr Fredericksburg.
The club just wrapped up it’s first Glow In The Dark Pickleball event and concluded its Nightmare at The Picklr Halloween event, which featured competing costume teams, last weekend. After the anniversary, The Picklr Fredericksburg will host its Turkey Brawl, or open play on Thanksgiving.
