A shooting reportedly left two injured on Wednesday night.
Shortly before 10:00 PM, a call was received for a penetrating trauma on West Dower Drive in Spotsylvania, Virginia. Radio traffic indicated at least one victim suffered a gunshot wound to the arm. Later, an additional victim was reported with gunshot wounds to the arm and head. Emergency units staged nearby on Timberlake Road until the site was secured by law enforcement.
On the scene, at least one of those victims was observed being treated by EMS personnel. Multiple witnesses reported hearing as many as eight shots and allege that deputies placed two individuals in handcuffs.
Deputies were able to confirm to hyperbole that there is currently no danger to the public and everyone involved in the incident has been accounted for.
Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office Major Troy Skebo says that two individuals have been transported to an area hospital for treatment. He confirmed that the shooting was a domestic-related incident and that more details would be made public in the morning’s press release.
