The department has provided these tips to ensure the best viewing experience for you and your family:

  1. Arrive early and select a viewing spot.
  2. Please keep family, especially children, close by and out of the roadway while Santa’s sleigh is in motion.
  3. Talk with children about the importance of remaining on sidewalks and out of the roadways until Santa’s entourage has stopped.
  4. Practice nighttime safety and wear reflective and brightly colored clothing. Have flashlights or glowsticks.
  5. If you see something, say something. Like any public event, pay attention to your surroundings and report any suspicious activity to the police.
  6. Dress for the weather!
