One individual is on their way to a hospital after being struck by a vehicle in downtown Fredericksburg on Sunday afternoon.

At approximately 1:00 PM, a call for a struck pedestrian was received at the intersection of Princess Anne Street and Lafayette Boulevard, adjacent to the Fredericksburg Train Station.

On the scene, an adult female was observed being treated by EMS for unknown injuries before being transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the vehicle, which appeared to be a black pick-up truck, remained on the scene to speak with law enforcement, who is currently investigating the incident.

According to Virginia Department of Transportation data, Sunday afternoon’s incident is the eighth motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in the city.
