Students from James Monroe High School will hold a Rally For Recovery for classmate Gunnar Burns tomorrow evening.
Burns, a rising senior and lacrosse player, injured his C4 and C5 vertebrae in a game against Hanover on Tuesday evening. He is currently hospitalized at VCU and his recovery is ongoing.
Participants are invited to “light the night for Gunnar” and support his family and lacrosse teammates. Area lacrosse programs are invited to wear their school lacrosse jerseys.
The Rally For Recovery will be held 6:00 PM on Friday evening at Maury Stadium on Hanover Street in downtown Fredericksburg.
