Graham Won’t Seek Reelection To Fredericksburg City Council Next Year

Sources Say Will Rowe Will Be Tapped As His Replacement

Multiple sources say Fredericksburg City Councilman Jason Graham will not seek reelection next year.

Graham has served on the council since 2018, serving Ward 1 while also representing the city on the Policy Committee at FAMPO. Born and raised in Alabama, Graham studied journalism at the University of University of before later earning his MBA from the University of Rochester. He currently leads a consulting firm in Washington, D.C.

One of those same sources say that sitting Fredericksburg City School Board member Will Rowe (also serving Ward 1) will be tapped to be his replacement. Rowe won his seat unopposed in 2021.

Graham has been one of the most vocal proponents for growth in the city. He was also one of several council members FOIA requests revealed to be text messaging one another about constituents speaking during a public comment session.

Councilman Graham did not respond to a request for comment.
