Fredericksburg City Public Schools Asking For Help To “Save” This Year’s Homecoming

Two Student Groups Have Launched A Fundraiser For This Year's Event
James Monroe High School Looking To "Save" This Year's Homecoming

James Monroe High School is looking for a little help to “save” this year’s Homecoming.

The school’s Student Council Association (SCA) and Parent-Teacher-Student-Organization (PTSO) has launched a fundraiser to help keep costs low and allow for all students to participate in this year’s event. Donations would support a Powder Puff girls flag football game, fund floats for the annual parade through downtown Fredericksburg, provide t-shirts for students and help keep costs down for kids who would otherwise be unable to participate.

That fundraiser’s description states that rising costs have limited the footprint of this year’s Homecoming celebration, but that both student groups are focused on making the most of their high school memories.

James Monroe High School’s Homecoming is scheduled for Friday, October 17th.
