“Only what you do for Christ will last.”
The words of Senior Pastor Dr. Sylvia Cunningham set the tone for the Ecclesia Worship Center’s Community Day at W.L. Harris Playground on Saturday afternoon in Mayfield. It was the group’s fourth annual event and the first in that neighborhood.
The fellowship brought family fun, food, games and school supplies to local youth, as well as a pair of basketball tournaments for kids 16 and under and 17 and up. Pastor Tayvon Berryman, who MC’d the event, said the community days are something the church looks forward to every year.
“We want to let them know that the church is here, and that we’re here for the community,” Berryman said.
The Ecclesia Worship Center will next host a Men’s Conference on August 23-24th at their location on 3508 Shannon Park Drive in Fredericksburg. Learn more at ecclesiaworshipcenter.com.
